All companies that handle and process meat and slaughter know that the wrong temperature can impair the quality of the end product. Improper temperature can damage the meat and cause economic loss for the individual producer. Improper or too slow cooling results in poor meat quality. In addition, various government requirements are set for documentation of correct handling and storage conditions for food. It must be possible to document the cooling process and time. By installing the Neuron PT100 sensor (product sheet) for monitoring the core temperature of meat and the Neuron Temp Surface sensor (product sheet) for measuring room temperature from El-Watch AS, the slaughterhouse can monitor its carcasses / slaughter in a simple and good way.

By installing the Neuron PT100 sensor for monitoring the core temperature of meat and the Neuron Temp Surface for measuring room temperature from El-Watch AS, manufacturers can easily comply with the regulatory requirement for detailed temperature measurement during cooling. There is a requirement that this is done at least twice a year per production site.
The sensors can also be introduced as a standard tool for cooling carcasses / slaughter. This contributes to good quality control and can serve as documentation in relation to regulatory requirements. It can also provide detailed knowledge of the cooling time. Unnecessarily long cooling time results in unnecessarily large energy consumption
The operations manager, operator, or the person the company wants to be notified will receive immediate notification via SMS / email if temperatures have not been complied with or changed. In this way, the company can reduce waste and ensure good and safe end products for its customers.
